- Monkstown club is not training thursday 22nd October due to a Halloween Ceile on in the school
- There will be no training on Monday night either in Monkstown as it's a bank Holiday Monday (26th Oct)
- Did anyone take a photo of the group at the Leg of Leagues so we can put an article together for Irish fighter – anyone willing to write a short article ?
- Good luck to all those taking part in the World Championships next week (pls. ensure training/diet are taken care of and also ensure passport, health record, monies are available for the week. Finally watch weight and check carefully the timetable for your sections.
- ASKO Open – we need help to ensure Refs and help is available on the day as a big turnout is expected

- Monkstown club selling off Focus Pads and Sparring gear – Anyone interested in getting a set cheap, please let Niall know.
- We are promoting the ASKO clubs, we would appreciate if you would print out a few Karate posters and possibly consider putting them up in any shop, library, hall, club, supermarket, etc.
- Parking in Scoil Lorcáin – Please note to all parents that the residents are not happy with the parking on dropping or collecting the students so we would ask you to please park in the Basketball area of Scoil Lorcáin. (School yard) (Gates can be opened)
- World Karate and Kickboxing Championships 2009 – We now have 7 ASKO members who will represent their Country at the Worlds in November 09. We have qualified in Points and continuous Sparring, Kata, Weapons, Team and are beginning the preparation training in July 09. - Karate Insurance notice – Please note that each student’s Karate Insurance for the year is now due for renewal. The fee for the renewal is €15 for 12 years and under and €20 for 13 years and over.
- Students/Parents – Please buy Groin Guard (male)/Mouth Guards (all)/Chest Guards (female) for the competitions coming up – 10% discount – advise its for ASKO) try Grandstand Sports in D’laoire shopping Centre for Suits/Groin /Mouth guards
- We have ASKO Karate Black and white suits and some TShirts remaining in a variety of sizes – ask in Bray club – Ciara

- The fastest speed measured for the Circuit 13 program is 5 minutes 42 seconds set by Eoghan Carrick, closely followed by Aran Quinn with 5.46, then Denis Duffy with 5.51
- The highest Kick in ASKO for 2009 being sought after – Anyone interested in trying to beat this record let your instructor know.
- Roger Yuan (Professional Martial Arts stuntman and Movie fight choreographer) is available to do another ASKO seminar – please get back to Niall Malone if interested OR Performance Kata (flips/jumps & everything else you can think of) is available to ASKO – Talk to Niall if interested so we can gauge numbers before asking the instructor down from Dundalk (Eamon Lawlor)
